Andy Wadham

I was born down the road in Hillingdon Hospital and have lived in Hillingdon for more than 40 years, including over 4 years around the corner from Key House in Albert Road, Yiewsley.

I worked in Hillingdon Council’s Planning Department for 17 years before leaving in 1989. and during that time I was the district planning officer for the southern part of the Borough including Yiewsley and West Drayton.

In 1989 I joined Heathrow Airport Limited (HAL) as an airport planner. I lead HAL’s work in forming links with the public sector and particularly Hillingdon Council, in jointly promoting economic and regeneration schemes in the local community around the airport to help realise the aim of utilising more of the economic benefits the airport brings to the advantage of those residents that live closest to it.

I also chaired the former Heathrow City Partnership for three years, which sought to support and fund projects for regeneration and economic development in the parts of Hillingdon, Ealing and Hounslow closest to the Airport and was a Board Member for much longer. I have also been closely involved in Heathrow’s major projects over recent years including Terminal 5 and the new Terminal 2 which opened in 2014.

I currently live in Hampton and am married with two small children, as well as three grown up ones.
