I have lived in West Drayton since 1936 and worked as a manufacturing engineer with local companies incluidng EMI and Black and Decker. After my retirement I worked part time for a local Housing Association and became involved with local voluntary and community groups. I trained as a Learning Disabilities advocate with DASH, and also became involved with local care homes as a fund raiser and member of the managment committee. I am a former Chair of Governors at Cherry Lane Primary School. More recently I have taken a keen interest in the regeneartion of Yiewsley and West Drayton as a member of the Town Centre Action Group. This led to my involvemnt with the refurbishment of Key House and I am delighted to see the restoration work that has been carried out and the excellent use which is now being made of the building.
