The building
With the support of Hillingdon Council, the Hayes and West Drayton Partnership and the London Development Agency, the building was bought by an independent trust. A two-storey extension, and extensive refurbishment was completed prior to the reopening in spring 2003.
Thanks to a grant from the National Lottery the building is well equipped and furnished. There is level access to the ground floor, with a lift to the first and second floors, and most of the access doors are automated.
